Our Youth Ministry provides a safe space where pre-teens and teens can grow in their relationship with God, build lasting friendships and learn how their faith connects to the real-life challenges they face every day. Through Bible study, open conversation and practical teaching, we create a nurturing environment where our youth can ask questions, talk honestly and discover what God’s Word has to say about the choices, pressures and relationships that shape their lives.
Our Youth Ministry is led by Minister Michael Ellis — affectionately known as “Min. Mike” — a certified drug and alcohol counselor, educator and behavioral specialist with more than 25 years of experience working with youth. He also brings years of ministry experience, having served in youth leadership and as a former leader of the Big Brothers mentorship ministry at our parent church.
But growing in faith should also be fun for our youth! That is why, throughout the year, our youth get together beyond Sunday mornings for recreational outings, movies, pizza parties, sporting events and other activities that simply give them time to connect, laugh and enjoy being together. We also support them academically through tutoring when needed.
Our goal is simple: to help our youth know God for themselves, navigate life with confidence and godly wisdom, and discover that following Jesus does not mean missing out on life — it means learning how to live it well.
